Working Days vs. Calendar Days vs. Business Days

Calendar days are every consecutive day on the calendar, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Working days are the active working days within a date range, excluding non-working weekend days (Saturdays and Sundays). Business days are the days when financial institutions and corporate offices operate — note that national public holidays vary by region and company policy, so they must be subtracted separately if applicable.

How the Working Days Calculation Works

The calculator evaluates every date in the range from Start Date to End Date, inclusive: it starts on the start date and steps forward one day at a time until the end date is reached. For each date, it evaluates the day of the week (0 = Sunday, 6 = Saturday). If the date is a Saturday and "Exclude Sat" is checked, it's tallied as an excluded weekend day. If it's a Sunday and "Exclude Sun" is checked, same treatment. Otherwise, it increments the working days count.
